Tottenham predicted XI vs. Chelsea: Porro, Robertson & Marmoush among injury doubts
The latest Spurs team news, injury updates and predicted line-up ahead of their Premier League showdown with Chelsea.
Tottenham Hotspur will get the chance to string two wins together for the first time since May when they make the short trip to Chelsea on Saturday evening – but the challenge of getting three points against Xabi Alonso’s side could be made even sterner by a string of potential injury issues.

Pedro Porro, Andrew Robertson and Omar Marmoush are among a number of players who are either carrying knocks into this weekend’s match or who are still recovering from lingering injuries, and no fewer than 11 players are out or doubts ahead of the game at Stamford Bridge.
With kick-off fast approaching, we’ve collected all of the latest Spurs team news and injury updates below, along with our prediction for Roberto de Zerbi’s likely starting line-up.
Robertson, Marmoush & Adarabioyo set to play against Chelsea after injury scares

Spurs’ sorely-needed win over Coventry City on Monday appeared to have come at a cost – Andrew Robertson and Omar Marmoush both limped off during the second half, respectively clutching their hamstring and calf, while centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo was also spotted being checked over by medical staff after he was withdrawn from the action.
De Zerbi moved swiftly to downplay fears over any potential problems, however, telling the media that “I think there are no injuries, nothing important” in the wake of the win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
That suggests that Monday night’s victory provided only good news on the fitness front, with James Maddison scoring on his first start since May 2025 while Dejan Kulusevski came off the bench to mark his first competitive appearance since the same month, completing his comeback from a serious knee injury. Both should be involved again in some capacity this weekend, with Maddison in line to start once more.
Porro & Udogie among Spurs injury doubts

While fears of a fresh injury crisis appear to have been allayed, De Zerbi will still be sweating on the fitness of both Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie, with the pair facing a race against time ahead of Saturday’s game.
Porro is on the comeback trail after sustaining a hamstring injury prior to the recent international break while Udogie picked up a minor knee problem during the 1-1 draw with Manchester United. They both face late fitness tests ahead of the Chelsea match.
Spurs will also have to make do without Rodrigo Bentancur, who is serving the second of a three-match ban after his red card at Old Trafford, while injury is expected to prevent five other players from taking part.
Lucas Bergvall (knee), Mykhaylo Murdryk (ankle) and Sávio (undisclosed muscular issue) are all sidelined this week and are expected to return in November, with summer signing Sávio reportedly facing the longest lay-off.
Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert, meanwhile, both remain unavailable as they recover from their respective ACL injuries. Odobert could come back before the new year if there are no further setbacks, while Simons is likely targeting February or March for his return.
De Zerbi, meanwhile, is expected to revert to a back four despite beating Coventry with a back three, a tactical decision which the head coach explained was taken due to fitness problems in midfield. With Conor Gallagher and Mateus Fernandes both fit enough to come off the bench on Monday, Spurs seem set to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation once more.
Tottenham Hotspur predicted line-up vs. Chelsea (4-2-3-1): Kinský; Robertson, Van de Ven, Van Hecke, Porro; Tonali, Fernandes; Tel, Maddison, Kudus; Solanke.
