Saliba, Konsa & João Pedro: Latest FPL injury news for Gameweek 10 ahead of Arsenal v Hull
The latest FPL injury news ahead of the Gameweek 10 deadline - including updates on William Saliba, Ezri Konsa, João Pedro and may more.
Another weekend of Fantasy Premier League is already upon us – and to help make your life easier in the build up to Friday’s 18:30 GMT deadline, we’re here with our usual weekly rundown of all the latest FPL-relevant injury news.

Could it be time to sell Ezri Konsa as William Saliba makes his comeback from injury? Will João Pedro be back before the international break? And will any of a dozen or more other players lace up their boots over the coming days? Everything we know so far is below.
As always, we’ll update this column on Friday as the managers’ pre-match press conferences come in so you can check back then to stay up-to-date, but for now here’s how everything stands…
Will Ezri Konsa start against Hull?

William Saliba & Ezri Konsa: Saliba is back in full training almost a month ahead of schedule and even made it as far as the bench for the Champions League game against Slavia Praha. Not only is he expected to make the matchday squad once more, but he could get his first minutes since the summer against Hull City.
His chances of playing only went up after Konsa came off after an hour in midweek, with the England international seemingly holding his knee. Mikel Arteta said after the game that Konsa “had some issues and we decided to take him off,” implying that he’s a doubt for the weekend.
Should you sell Konsa? Perhaps, although we’d wait for the pressers as there’s still a very high chance that he starts. Saliba isn’t expected to start straight away and will most likely be eased back in to the starting line-up. As for whether or not Konsa continues to start – and remember he can play right-back too – we can’t say, but panic selling may not be a necessity just yet.
João Pedro: While Chelsea have been vague with the timeline for the Brazilian forward’s recovery from a thigh injury, he isn’t yet back in training and still appears unlikely to play prior to the November international break. If you haven’t sold already, we’d be getting ready to, although maybe Xabi Alonso will surprise us during his presser.
Emiliano Martínez, Jordan Henderson, Maxence Lacroix & Jorrel Hato: The Blues have several other injured players to worry about, some of which are FPL-adjacent – there is apparently “a chance” that Martínez could return from a broken jaw to play against Sunderland, Henderson (who was signed by a baffling number of players after he scored a couple of goals recently) should be back after illness, and Hato is expected to return too. Lacroix, however, is most likely out until the new year due to a hamstring injury.
Manchester United & Brighton stars among FPL injury worries

Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, Patrick Dorgu & Carlos Baleba: Anyone tempted to back a Manchester United resurgence after Tuesday’s sorely-needed comeback win over Roma should know that Rashford remains a doubt due to a hip injury and that Shaw is expected to be ruled out along with Baleba, who sustained a hamstring injury in that 3-2 victory. United have confirmed the latter already, and the Cameroonian figures to be out for a while. Dorgu, at least, is on the comeback trail and could make the bench after a hamstring injury.
Ferdi Kadioglu: The wing-back could become a popular choice over the coming weeks given Brighton’s form, and Fabian Hürzeler has told the media that he hopes to have the Turk back in the squad for Thursday night’s game against Getafe. Should he get the start, it could be worth investing in an intriguing early differential option.
Jørgen Strand Larsen: Few FPL players are investing heavily in Crystal Palace forwards these days but those who do should be aware that Strand Larsen is expected to be available again this weekend – it’s not yet clear whether he or Jean-Phillippe Mateta will start, however.
Tino Livramento: Newcastle’s under-pressure manager Matthias Jaissle has stubbornly refused to put a date on Livramento’s return so far, but there are no indications that he’ll be back this weekend. After the international break looks like a better bet as it stands.
Bobby Thomas: Frank Lampard told the media that Thomas was close to playing last weekend but the 25-year-old ultimately missed out after failing a late fitness test. We haven’t had an update since, so we still have to assume that he’s touch and go, but an appearance doesn’t seem out of the question.
