The Premier League hurtles into another full round of fixtures this weekend, but before we can get to that, there is still plenty of weekday transfer speculation to sift through.

In Friday’s top flight rumour round-up we have claims that Everton are considering a stunning triple swoop in January, reports that Arsenal and Newcastle are willing to do battle over a France international, and suggestions that a Tottenham mainstay is edging ever closer to a continental exit.

Everton eye England trio

Everton could launch a sensational triple swoop for three out of favour England internationals during the January transfer window, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes. The Toffees have endured a slow start to the season, but will be hoping to strengthen in the new year, and could do so with high-profile raids for a handful of big names.

It is claimed that Sean Dyche’s men are currently keeping an eye on Manchester United defender Harry Maguire, Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips, and Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, who recently lost his number one jersey at the Emirates to David Raya. In the case of the Gunners’ stopper, he could reportedly be drafted in as a replacement for Jordan Pickford, who may be sold in the new year.

The 3AM Verdict: This feels fanciful. If Everton could find the funds to sign one of these players, that would be quite the feat, but successfully luring all three to Goodison Park feels borderline impossible. Stranger things have happened, but I wouldn’t put your mortgage on this one.

Arsenal and Newcastle keen on Rabiot

Elsewhere, CalcioMercato claim that both Arsenal and Newcastle United are greatly interested in signing Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot. The Frenchman has established himself as a key figure in Turin in recent times, but is out of contract next summer, and could leave for a cut-price fee in January.

Having previously been linked with the likes of Manchester United, it is understood that the 28-year-old is open to the prospect of moving to the Premier League. The Red Devils previously agreed a fee of around £15 million for Rabiot before their deal with Juve collapsed.

The 3AM Verdict: After struggling for a while to properly find his best form, Rabiot looks to have really kicked on in recent times. Now a key player for Juve, if he could replicate that kind of consistency in England, he would surely be a hit. The fact that he may be available for a relatively low transfer fee only increases his desirability.

Hojbjerg agent in exit talks

And finally, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s agent has reportedly flown to Italy as he looks to negotiate his client’s exit from Tottenham Hotspur. According to Corriere dello Sport, the Danish midfielder representatives are in talks with Juventus (remember them?) over a potential January transfer.

It is claimed that Spurs will demand around £25 million for the 28-year-old, although Juve’s current financial situation could restrict the Serie A giants to loan bids - albeit with future purchase clauses attached.

The 3AM Verdict: This makes sense. Ange Postecoglou seems to have decided on his central midfield pairing, and it would appear that Hojbjerg is not part of it. With that in mind, why not cash in? This way, Spurs get their money, Juve get a talented player, and the Dane gets an opportunity to continue his career at one of the biggest clubs in Europe. Everybody wins.
