The 3 Added Minutes take on the latest transfer speculation from across the Premier League and beyond.

Arsenal are facing some major decisions over the future of several players over the coming months.

Midfield duo Jorginho and Thomas Partey are both out of contract at the end of the season and Raheem Sterling and Neto’s loan spells will also come to a close next summer. The likes of Leandro Trossard, Kieran Tierney and Takehiro Tomiyasu will head into the final 18 months of their current contracts in the new year and will see their long-term futures at the Emirates Stadium under consideration.

Several Gunners stars are out on loan and will return to the club at the end of the season - and one academy product has reportedly already decided where his future should lie. Reiss Nelson still has two and a half years remaining on his current Arsenal contract but is currently spending the season on loan at Premier League rivals Fulham.

However, Football Transfers (via teamTALK) have claimed the 24-year-old has contacted Mikel Arteta to ‘clarify he is keen to move on for good’. The report also claims Nelson’s agents have contacted Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen and Union Berlin to assess whether there would be any interest in the 12-times capped England Under-21 star.

The 3AM Verdict: Nelson has already experienced life in the Bundesliga after spending time on loan at Hoffenheim earlier in his career. Although it is not known whether Bayer Leverkusen and Union Berlin would be interested, a fresh start in Germany could be exactly what is required to reignite the career of a clearly talented player.

Forest could make surprise swoop for Black Cats duo

Nottingham Forest are reportedly keen to tempt Sunderland into the big money sales of highly-rated young duo Chris Rigg and Tommy Watson.

Speaking via his Patreon account, journalist Alan Nixon has claimed the Black Cats duo are both on Forest’s radar as the Premier League’s surprise package look to continue strengthening Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad.

Forest are said to be new admirers of Rigg’s after he enjoyed a spectacular introduction into life at a senior level on Wearside but have monitored Watson ‘for a couple of seasons’. Brighton and Crystal Palace are also said to be keen on the latter and there were reports suggesting the young winger was the subject of a number of unsuccessful offers from the Seagulls during the summer transfer window.

The 3AM Verdict: Sunderland are absolutely flying at the moment and have been in outstanding form throughout the opening three months of the season. Rigg has been integral throughout and there are high hopes Watson can make a similar impact as he finds his way in the senior setup. It would take a sizeable offer to even tempt the Black Cats into considering any decision over their futures.

Former Crystal Palace striker blasts Eagles midfielder

Clinton Morrison has hit out at the performances of Crystal Palace summer signing Daichi Kamada.

The Japan international joined the Eagles on a free transfer in June following his departure from Serie A club Lazio but has struggled to make a serious impression during his first three months in the Premier League.

The 28-year-old has appeared in all 11 of Palace’s league fixtures and scored two goals and provided assists in three Carabao Cup ties.

However, Kamada was shown a straight red card in Saturday’s home defeat against Fulham for a horror challenge on Cottagers full-back Kenny Tete. The challenge and Kamada’s performances in general provoked a negative reaction out of former Eagles striker Morrison.

He told Sky Sports: “He is not a central midfielder. He is playing there as a central midfielder. At the moment, he is nowhere near good enough. He is low on confidence. It’s a terrible tackle.”

The 3AM Verdict: It can take players time to settle into life in the Premier League and there have been some flashes from Kamada over the first three months of the season. However, Palace’s injury crisis has forced him into an unfamiliar position and his form seems to have suffered.
