Newly leaked promotional photos seem to show Rangers’ away kit next season, amid ongoing takeover talk.

The brand new Rangers away kit for the 2025/26 season seems to have been ‘leaked’ after what appears to be a marketing photo from a future kit launch surfaced online.

An image of a Rangers fan posing in what looks set to be next season’s change jersey has been used by Footy Headlines as the basis for a mock-up of what the new shirt will look like when the players take to the pitch in the Scottish Premiership next season.

Rangers are currently poised on the edge of a period of significant transition, with a bid on the table to take the club over led by Leeds United owners 49ers Enterprises, and with question marks over the identity of their coach next season – but the leaks suggest that fans can at least expect stability in terms of their aesthetics…

New Rangers shirt leaked ahead of 2025/26 season

The social media post above shows both the mock-up and the rather grainy still image from what seems likely to be a promo shoot or video for the coming kit launch.

Sticking with the traditional Rangers colours, it’s a predominantly white shirt with thick blue and red stripes across the shoulders and chest respectively, with a white crest and kit manufacturer’s logo.

It will be the fourth consecutive season in which Rangers’ away jersey has been a mainly white affair. Castore, who produced the kits for the last five seasons, may have moved on but their successors, Umbro, don’t seem to plan any major departures from the traditional colour scheme.

The red and blue ends to the shirt sleeves from the current campaign’s away kit also seem set to stay as they are for next season, so the club and manufacturer seem to have jointly decided to avoid any radical departures.

Home and third kits yet to be revealed ahead of summer launch

We still have no information about the home jersey for the 2025/26 season or the change and goalkeeper kits, but Footy Headlines do also claim that the official kit launch is expected to take place in July. That likely means that no new kits will be worn at the end of the current Scottish Premiership season, as clubs sometimes do for marketing purposes, and also that it may be three months before the leaks can be confirmed to be real.

At least it’s possible that by the time the kit is officially unveiled we’ll know who will manage the team next season – caretaker manager Barry Ferguson has won just four of his 10 matches in charge of Rangers thus far and it seems somewhat unlikely that he will be chosen as the permanent successor to Philippe Clement, who was sacked in February.

Whichever coach is in charge come August, the players wearing the new away kit will hope to avoid ceding the Scottish Premier League title to bitter rivals Celtic for the fifth consecutive year. The Gers are currently 15 points behind their neighbours as the season draws towards its close, and are expected to finish as runners-up once more.

There’s a high chance that Rangers will start next season with a new head coach, new owners and perhaps a lot of new players – but whatever changes, it seems likely that the shirts will stay more or less the same ahead of a new era.
