Traore, Chan Hwang & Mosquera: Wolves injury news and potential return dates ahead of Brighton
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Gary O'Neil has been asked to provide a further explanation for his comments after Wolves’ late 2-1 loss to Manchester City last weekend. He was upset after his team lost to the champions with virtually the last kick, compounded by concerns that Bernardo Silva could have been in an offside position.
He will hope for better luck when they take on Brighton this weekend, as the Seagulls are currently flying high and looking to challenge for a top-spot finish.

Hide AdAhead of what should be another interesting weekend of Premier League action, here’s a list of Wolves’ injured players and their potential return dates:
Yerson Mosquera
He is currently suffering from a knee injury and is not expected to return until the end of the year. Manager Gary O'Neil said: “It’s really early days, and I don’t want to put a definitive time scale on it, but everything went very well with the surgery. Over the next days and weeks, we’ll start to really map out what the rehab looks like.”
Potential return date: January 2025
Enso Gonzalez Medina
Another player who suffered a knee injury and will be like a new signing when he returns. O'Neil said: “He's beginning his strength phase. He's a few months ahead of Yerson. He responded really well to the initial surgery and is back in the gym working hard, so he's right on track with where we'd expect him to be.”
Potential return: January 2025
Sasa Kalajdzic
It’s knee injury number three for Wolves, but he is at least stepping up his recovery process. They will not rush him, though, as he’s been out for a while. O'Neil commented: “He's back on the grass, which is great for him. He's now starting to get to the more functional aspects of his rehab. Over the next few months, we'll be integrating more ball work, and then hopefully get him back into training and matches in the not-too-distant future.”
Potential return: January 2025

Traore is still on crutches but is expected to be back on the grass soon and could even play by the end of the year. “Boubacar is still out — on crutches at the moment — he had a repair to [the joint surface in] his knee and will probably be out until around Christmas,” the manager said when asked about him recently.
Potential return: December 2024
Hee-Chan Hwang
He suffered a ligament injury and won’t make it for this weekend’s game, but he is expected back late next month. O'Neil said: “It's not nothing; there's something there. He injured a ligament on the inside of his ankle, but from now it's probably a couple to a few weeks — nothing overly long.”
Potential return: November 2024
