The new Rangers home kit for the 2025/26 season appears to have leaked ahead of its official release.

Rangers’ home kit for the forthcoming 2025/26 season appears to have been ‘leaked’ online, with photographs of two versions of the brand new shirt emerging on social media.

The pictures have been reported on by Footy Headlines and mark the club’s first new home shirt since returning to kit manufacturers Umbro for the first time since 2013. A five-year deal with Castore has now reached its conclusion.

The apparent leak of the home kit follows similar details of the apparent new away kit being made public in recent weeks, and appears to suggest that Rangers will be sticking to a traditional template with Umbro.

Assuming the leaked images prove to be genuine, the new kit is a simple blue number with white collar and sleeves, both set off with thin bands of red and with the club badge and Umbro’s logo picked out in white, along with the sponsor.

Unlike many recent Rangers shirts, including several designed by Umbro during their previous tenure as club kit manufacturer in the 2000s and 2010s, there is no pattern inlaid across the jersey, making it the first truly plain shirt the club will have worn since 2020/21.

That doesn’t mean that the kit doesn’t catch the eye, however – collar aficionados will immediately note the big and bold fold-down collar, which will make this the first time that the club’s home kit has had such a collar since 2015. The photos in the leak feature shirts both with and without the club’s current front-of-shirt gambling sponsor, but it isn’t clear whether both versions of the shirt will be available for general sale, or when they might start to appear in shops.

A new look for a new era?

The latest kit leaks follow on from images which appear to reveal Rangers’ away shirt for the coming 2025/26 campaign, which is a classic white kit with thick red and blue bands across the shoulders and upper chest – full details can be found by clicking here.

It won’t just be the shirts and the kit manufacturer that change at Ibrox this summer, of course, with the club looking for a new manager to take over from caretaker boss Barry Ferguson and preparing for life under new owners 49ers Enterprises, whose takeover was completed in April.

That could mean that a new edition of the kit is the very least of the changes that we’ll see over the coming weeks and months, with the club set to start off on a new course as they work to regain the Scottish Premiership trophy.

Whether the players are being led onto the pitch by Barry Ferguson, Steven Gerrard or someone else entirely, we at least now know how they’ll look as they look to turn their recent fortunes around next season – let’s just hope that the players are fans of thick collars, or they might not feel all that comfortable for the next year or so.

No release date for the new kits has yet been set, and details have yet to be confirmed by the club, implying that we won’t see any of the new jerseys in action before the end of the season.
